Anti-Drugs for Teens Theatre

During the trips of β€œTaiwan Paperwindmill Theatre’sβ€œFirst Mile, Kid’s Smile” Arts for Children in 319 Townships Project,” we realized that in Taiwan there isn’t only a gap between city and suburb on arts education. There is a much serious problem of drug abuse. Unknowingly, illegal drugs have been seeping into teenagers’ lives. Children come into contact with illegal drugs unguarded because of their curiosity. Their souls would then be controlled and trapped by drug dealers.

In 2012, Paperwindmill started approaching teenagers through theater. Unlike traditional doctrinal teaching in the textbooks, we use lively performances to educate the impacts of illegal drugs on people’s minds and bodies. We also express the importance of saying no to illegal drugs.
